Terms of Service for TapVoice

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using TapVoice ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

TapVoice is an AI voice assistant for Apple Watch and iPhone. You ask a question by holding the TapVoice button on your Apple Watch, and the app returns a short spoken and written answer.

The app provides:

• Free Trial: 10 questions total (lifetime limit) for new users
• Question Packs: Consumable in-app purchases that add a fixed number of questions to your balance
• Native support for 9 languages
• Optional silent or full-audio response modes on Apple Watch

3. Purchases and Question Packs

Free Trial

• New users receive 10 questions total as a lifetime free trial
• Once the free questions are used, you must purchase a question pack to continue using the AI features

Question Packs (Consumable)

• 25 Question Pack — adds 25 questions to your balance
• 100 Question Pack — adds 100 questions to your balance
• 300 Question Pack — adds 300 questions to your balance
• One-time purchase: Each pack is a single, non-recurring charge. There is no subscription and no auto-renewal.
• No expiry: Questions in your balance do not expire as long as you keep the app installed on your device.
• iCloud Backup: Your question balance is automatically backed up to iCloud and will be restored if you reinstall the app or switch to a new device signed in with the same Apple ID.
• Question History: Conversation history (questions and answers) is stored locally on your device only and will be deleted if you uninstall the app. Your question balance is not affected.
• Pricing: Prices are shown in your local currency in the App Store and may vary by region.

Payment

• All purchases are processed by Apple StoreKit and charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• We do not see, store, or process your payment information

Question Counter

• A question is only deducted from your balance when the AI returns a successful answer
• Failed requests, network errors, or transcription failures do not consume questions

Refunds

• Refunds are handled according to Apple's refund policy
• Request refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to:

• Use TapVoice only for lawful purposes
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app
• Not use the app to generate harmful, illegal, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable content
• Not use the app to infringe on intellectual property rights
• Not abuse the service through automated requests or excessive load

5. AI Content Disclaimer

Answers generated by TapVoice are produced by AI models and may contain inaccuracies, outdated information, or hallucinations. Do not rely on TapVoice answers for medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Always verify critical information with a qualified human professional.

You are responsible for evaluating the accuracy and appropriateness of any AI-generated content before acting on it.

6. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to TapVoice, including its design, code, logo, and content, are owned by Miika Kettunen / Clarity Tools Lab. You receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.

7. Privacy

Your use of TapVoice is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we process and how. By using the app, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.

8. Third-Party Services

TapVoice uses the following third-party services to deliver answers. Their respective terms apply to your use of those services through TapVoice:

• Google Gemini for transcription and answer generation — Gemini API Terms
• OpenAI for text-to-speech — OpenAI Terms of Use
• Supabase as a secure API proxy — Supabase Terms
• Apple App Store for distribution and payments — Apple Media Services Terms

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TapVoice and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of (or inability to use) the app.

10. Warranty Disclaimer

TapVoice is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI answers will be accurate or complete.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using TapVoice at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or terminate your access to the service if you violate these Terms or use the app in a way that harms us or other users.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Finland, unless mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise.
