1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using InviteDay ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the app.
2. Description of Service
InviteDay is a mobile application that enables you to:
- Create beautiful event invites with custom details (title, date, time, location, description)
- Share invites via messaging apps (WhatsApp, iMessage, etc.)
- Track RSVP responses in real-time
- Allow recipients to add events to their calendars (Google, Apple, Outlook)
- Generate shareable short links for easy distribution
3. Pricing & Subscription
Current Pricing: Free for All Users
InviteDay is currently free to use with all features available at no cost. We plan to introduce optional subscription features in the future to support ongoing development and server costs.
Future Plans:
- Core features (event creation, RSVP tracking, sharing) will remain available
- Optional Pro subscription may be introduced for advanced features
- Pricing will be announced before any changes take effect
- Existing users will be notified in advance of any pricing changes
Managing Future Subscriptions
When subscription features are introduced:
- Subscriptions will be managed through Apple's App Store
- You can cancel anytime in Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions
- Refunds will be handled according to Apple's refund policy
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to:
- ✅ Use the app for lawful purposes only
- ✅ Create events for personal, social, and professional purposes
- ✅ Respect the privacy of event invitees
- ✅ Provide accurate event information
- ✅ Only send invites to people who may reasonably be interested
You agree NOT to:
- ❌ Use the app for spam, harassment, or unsolicited mass invitations
- ❌ Use the app for illegal activities or fraudulent events
- ❌ Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or compromise the app
- ❌ Share or distribute offensive, hateful, or inappropriate content
- ❌ Impersonate others or create fake events
- ❌ Abuse the RSVP system or manipulate response counts
5. Intellectual Property
- The app and its content are owned by Miika Kettunen and protected by copyright laws
- You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the app
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer the app
- Event content you create remains your intellectual property
- By sharing events, you grant us a license to host and display them for the purpose of the service
6. Calendar Integration
InviteDay integrates with third-party calendar services:
- Google Calendar: Uses Google's public calendar URL API
- Apple Calendar: Uses standard ICS/webcal protocol
- Outlook: Uses Outlook.com deep linking
By using these integrations, you agree to the respective service's terms of service. We are not responsible for the functionality or availability of third-party calendar services.
7. RSVP and Event Data
🔒 Data Encryption & Privacy
Your RSVP data is protected with bank-level security:
- AES-256-GCM Encryption: All RSVP responses are encrypted on your device before transmission
- Zero-Knowledge Architecture: Only event creators can decrypt RSVP data. We cannot read attendee information
- Client-Side Keys: Encryption keys are generated on your device and never leave it
- Privacy First: Invited guests cannot see other people's RSVP responses
🗑️ Automatic Data Deletion
To protect your privacy, we automatically delete all event data 7 days after your event ends:
- All RSVP responses are permanently removed from our servers
- Event details and short links are deleted
- Invite URLs stop working after deletion
- Your event history remains cached locally on your device for your records
- You can manually delete events anytime before the automatic deletion period
Additional Data Terms
- RSVP responses are stored encrypted in our Supabase database for tracking purposes
- Event creators can see the names and responses of attendees (after decryption on their device)
- You are responsible for the accuracy of RSVP information you provide
- We may delete events or RSVPs that violate these Terms
- Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone after the 7-day retention period
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Accuracy of event information or RSVP counts
- Uninterrupted or error-free service
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Security of data transmission
- Availability of short links or event pages
- Compatibility with all calendar services
Important: Always verify critical event details before sharing invites.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- We are NOT liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- We are NOT liable for missed events, incorrect RSVPs, or lost data
- We are NOT liable for third-party calendar service failures
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the subscription (currently €0)
10. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your data:
11. Termination
We reserve the right to:
- Suspend or terminate your access to the app for violations of these Terms
- Remove events or RSVPs that violate our policies
- Discontinue the service with reasonable notice
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it from your device.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:
- Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
- Providing a notice in the app for significant changes
- Requiring acceptance of new terms for major updates
Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Finland.
